Private garden of 24 ha in one of Lithuania‘s regional parks with garden space around building curtliage and woodland infrastructure re-established to the wider site. The garden space hardscape echoes the building architecture elements. Key trees shape the spaces together with built form. The predominant material for the paving is natural stone with extensive lawn areas and pastel colored decorative planting. The forest project has been prepared in accordance to Natura 2000 woodland habitat specifications.
The garden is surrounded by pine woodland on the outskirts of Vilnius and features mature scots pine trees next to the new modern style house. Landscape proposals emphasize the site character by transforming areas of established lawn into woodland understory planting with native planting mix of bilberry, thyme and grasses with the intention for it to mature into a natural mossy pine woodland carpet.
